FCE has a team of counsellors who provide a range of counselling services to the community. These services are aimed at assisting people to overcome problems in their lives and are provided through several venues:

General Counselling

Is counselling that is provided at our Counselling Centre in Forrestfield and can be provided on a short-term or ongoing basis.

Job Seeker Counselling 

First Choice Employment provides professional and confidential counselling services to people experiencing non-vocational barriers to employment.  FCE offers minimum blocks of six fortnightly sessions that are designed to assist clients to address their barriers to employment and work experience. Flexible appointment arrangements can be agreed to include telephone, face-to-face or group counselling.

Christian Counselling 

Is also available to assist people to address personal and relationship issues from a biblical and spiritual perspective.

Our team of professional counsellors can provide tailored counselling and support in the following areas:

•      Relationship counselling
•      Drug and alcohol dependency
•      Grief and loss counselling
•      Crisis care
•      Mental health issues
•      Anger management
•      Depression,  anxiety and self esteem
•      Life skills workshops

The counselling services are provided by fully qualified and experienced counsellors who observe the strict confidentiality requirements for this service and who are supervised in a professional manner.
